Guide on how to make a perpetual motion machine!
Guide on how to make a perpetual motion machine!

Hello everyone, my dear friends. I think I've come up with a perpetual motion machine! In theory, this design could provide infinite energy. It might revolutionize the world, but I'm not sure how we'll go about it.

Guide on how to make a perpetual motion machine!

the idea is to take this extender and insert two plugs into it.

Then we attach this cord, and we have a closed ecosystem where the current I receive will circulate throughout the system.

We start to insert the extension cord and...

How do you get a blog rating? [mini-guide]

Hello, everyone! I'm with you again! Today I want to talk about how easy it is to gain a blog rating. Have fun reading!

P.S.: this list is well-known for the tops, so the information is for people with a low blog rating or for beginners.

* * *

How do you get a blog rating? [mini-guide]

I'll start with the base. Of course, your blog rating consists not only of likes on your posts, but also of awards. For beginners, I'll explain:

  • The "Tribune" is given for more comments (!from different people!), when compared with posts published at the same time. You usually need 30+ comments under a post to receive a reward that will earn you a 10 rating. Life hack: to have more "reviews", you can respond to comments from other pickers by mentioning (directly tag) others. I'll give you an example below. I rarely use this life hack myself, because I'm too lazy.

Example number 1: "The design turned out to be beautiful! And fasting makes you think about the meaning of life." You can reply cornyly, "thank you, I was inspired by @pickaker@"

Example #2: "I haven't read any of the above, but I'll keep it in mind." You can reply: "It's cool that I can help you find a new interesting book!"/"I advise you to start with Harry Potter, and "@user@ (mark the user who has seen the content on the books) What do you think?"

  • "Hot post". In short: the more likes (including dislikes)/The higher the rating on the post, the better. You usually also need a 30+ rating when compared with posts published in the same week as yours. There are no life hacks here, you just need to choose a topic.
How do you get a blog rating? [mini-guide]

Another important thing is the post itself, or rather its structure. Now we will analyze this in different formats.

  • Greeting. This is an important detail. Don't think that no one cares. After all, a greeting post is more pleasant to read, because a person immediately feels that they are being addressed and begins to look at your work more closely.
  • Separators. As such, there can be both asterisks embedded on the site, and images. Solid text is incredibly hard and boring to read.
  • Text. It must be original and enjoyable. For example, a large number of mats makes people feel disgusted with the text and the author himself, which can lead to waves of dislikes in the future.
  • The ending. You can thank the readers for reading your post, or you can ask a couple of leading questions so that the picketers can answer them.
How do you get a blog rating? [mini-guide]

If you want to gain a lot of ratings with your posts, then you don't need to choose something local, but something for the general public. Now I will give you a short list of topics that are interesting to many, and I will give you an example of a good post so that you can read and be inspired.

  • Pickups. Everything related to associations, the opinion of the neural network about the top of our site, flies into the best posts of the week and gains a decent amount of rating. Life hack: you can tag people who were in the post, so much more people will see and like your work. But there may be dissatisfied ones, keep this in mind. Post-example
  • Picuco improvement. What can be added to the site and what can be removed. This is also a great idea for a post. But it's worth at least explaining your opinion a little or describing a new feature. Post-example (old, but the meaning is revealed)
  • Interview. The main thing here is to be able to. Personally, my recommendations, as they say, are not for me to judge, but I will discuss. Most of the interviews on pico are complete bullshit. Yes, there are really worthwhile copies, but there are few of them.  Before the interview, you should familiarize yourself with the biography of pikucker through his posts, tests and interviews with other people about your "victim". You can prepare a couple of questions, but you will have to come up with the main part of the questions based on the answers of your "victim". It's also worth talking more about a person's life off the site, it's much more interesting than listening to another story about how "I saw cool tests about van pease and decided to create the tests myself."  Post-example
  • Something creative. For example, drawings, poems, modeling, etc. You can again talk about pico, or you can do something else. Post-example #1 and post-example #2
  • A selection of movies / books/ games, but you already need to have at least some kind of audience. You can include your own review or rating in the collection so that there is a little more text. This is necessary to receive a quality mark, and this will increase the chances of a "hot post" award. Post-example

Of course, these were just examples. People love originality, but the classics (what I noted above) will be appreciated if you try hard.

How do you get a blog rating? [mini-guide]

Little things to improve the post:

1) Design, it helps the reader to distinguish your post from the rest

2) Pleasant text, it is worth trying to improve your writing skills, if they are lame, use little mat (or better yet, do not use at all)

3) Write without mistakes, if you don't know how to spell a word, replace it or look it up on the Internet. It's the same with punctuation.

4) To highlight the main points, throughout my post I made bold somewhere, underlined somewhere. This helps the reader to grasp and remember the most basic things.

5) You can come up with your own monthly column that is interesting to you and others.

6) You can make statistical posts with lots of numbers and little text. It's suitable for those who don't write well.

How do you get a blog rating? [mini-guide]

I've told you the basic information. The main thing is not to forget, in order to get a blog rating, you need to remember that you write not only for yourself, but also for others. The reader is your "client". He must like you. Of course, you can also publish scandalous posts, but there is a possibility of both huge success and a loud fall into the abyss.

* * *

That's it! Bye-bye to everyone! I hope it will become easier for newbies to write posts. Thanks for reading!💕

How to Start Watching Silent Films: A Comprehensive Guide

Silent films, which dominated the cinema from its inception until the late 1920s, offer a unique and captivating glimpse into the early days of filmmaking. They are not just historical artifacts but also a testament to the creativity and innovation of early filmmakers. If you’re new to silent films and wondering where to start, this guide will introduce you to the genres, key films, notable actors, and directors that defined this era.

Understanding Silent Films

Silent films are movies without synchronized recorded sound. Dialogue, emotion, and action are conveyed through title cards, gestures, facial expressions, and body language. The lack of sound might seem limiting, but it forced filmmakers to be more creative with visual storytelling, leading to the development of many techniques still used in filmmaking today.

Genres in Silent Films

Silent films spanned a wide range of genres, each with its own characteristics and masterpieces.

1. Comedy

Description: Comedy was one of the most popular genres in silent films. It often relied on physical humor and slapstick, making it accessible to audiences worldwide.

Key Films:

  • The Kid (1921) directed by Charlie Chaplin: A heartwarming tale of a young boy and a tramp who form an unlikely bond.
  • Safety Last! (1923) directed by Fred C. Newmeyer and Sam Taylor: Known for its iconic rooftop chase scene, this film is a classic example of silent comedy.

Notable Actors: Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd.

Key Films:

  • The Immigrant (1917) directed by Charlie Chaplin: A poignant drama about the struggles of immigration, blending humor and pathos.
  • Metropolis (1927) directed by Fritz Lang: A groundbreaking science fiction film that explores themes of class struggle and industrialization.

Notable Actors: Lillian Gish, Lon Chaney, Greta Garbo.

Notable Works: The General (1926), Sherlock, Jr. (1924), Steamboat Bill, Jr. (1928)

Tips for Watching Silent Films

  1. Start with Short Films: Before diving into feature-length films, consider starting with shorter works to get a feel for the style and pacing of silent cinema.
  2. Pay Attention to Visuals: Since dialogue is absent, filmmakers relied heavily on visual storytelling. Pay close attention to facial expressions, body language, and the use of props and settings.
  3. Learn About the Context: Understanding the historical and cultural context of silent films can enhance your viewing experience. Research the time period, the filmmakers’ intentions, and the societal issues reflected in the films.
  4. Use Subtitles or Title Cards: While some silent films have been restored with intertitles (on-screen text that conveys dialogue or narration), others may require subtitles to fully understand the story. Make sure to use these tools to enhance your understanding.
  5. Watch with Others: Silent films can be a great shared experience. Watching with friends or family can enhance the enjoyment and provide different perspectives on the films.

Recommended Silent Films for Beginners

  1. The Kid (1921) directed by Charlie Chaplin: A heartwarming and humorous tale that showcases Chaplin’s talent for blending comedy and drama.
  2. Safety Last! (1923) directed by Fred C. Newmeyer and Sam Taylor: Known for its thrilling rooftop chase scene, this film is a classic example of silent comedy.
  3. Metropolis (1927) directed by Fritz Lang: A groundbreaking science fiction film that explores themes of class struggle and industrialization.
  4. Nosferatu, A Symphony of Horror (1922) directed by F.W. Murnau: An early and influential horror film that tells the story of a vampire.
  5. The Immigrant (1917) directed by Charlie Chaplin: A poignant drama about the struggles of immigration, blending humor and pathos.

Starting to explore silent films can be an enriching experience that deepens your appreciation for the art of filmmaking. By understanding the genres, key films, notable actors, and directors of the era, you can embark on a journey through the early days of cinema and discover the roots of many storytelling techniques used in films today.

The best anime for beginners! What should a beginner see? Part 1

When embarking on the brave path of an animeshnik, you need to start with the right titles, because if you start watching with some kind of blackness or boredom, most likely you just won't want to continue. Today I will give recommendations on titles that are worth starting with, as well as what is definitely not worth watching. Let's go!

Animeshnik's level!

First you need to decide on your level. I will present a general classification, and then we will use it to determine the titles.(there are 6 of them: Absolute Zero, Amateur, Master, Advanced Viewer, Demigod and God). Today we'll start with Absolute Zero and Amateur

You are not even an animeshnik and are not familiar with this genre or have just started and started looking for anime for a specific purpose, in this case I advise you to act according to your preferences and so watch a few titles.

  • If you are a gamer: "Masters of the Sword Online", "Conquering the Horizon", "The Lord", "No game— no life".
  • If you like fantasy: "The Tale of the Fairy Tail", "Magicians: The Labyrinth of Magic", "The Seven Deadly Sins", "Created in the Abyss".
  • If you like beautiful girls: "High School DxD", "Hey, chick!", "To LOVE-En".
  • If you like a simple action game: "Invasion of the Giants", "Vanpanchman", My Hero Academy", "Mob Psycho 100".
  • If you like zombies: "Sankara Rea", "School of the Dead", "Isn't this a zombie?
  • "If you love romance and you are a guy: "Angelic Rhythms!", "ToraDora", "Twilight Maiden and Amnesia", "Klannad",
  • Girl: "Touching complex", "Very nice, God", "Oran High School Dating Club", "Into the forest where the fireflies twinkle".
  • If you like it harder: "Berserk", "Elven Song", "Hellsing".
  • If you like movies: "Your Name," "The Shape of the Voice," "The Apprentice of the Monster," and all of Miyazaki's films.
  • If you like thrillers: "The City I'm Not in", "Promised Neverland", "Psychopassport"
  • If you want to watch a long title about becoming a super strong hero (Senen): "Naruto", "Steel Alchemist: Brotherhood", "Hunter x Hunter".

Which titles are better not to watch yet:

"Monster", "Experiments Lane", "Agent of Paranoia", "Perfect Sadness", "Furi-Kuri", "Kaiji", "Monster Stories", "Master Musi", "Ergo Proxy", "Technolize.

This is the post that came out, in the next part we will talk about a higher level in the "hierarchy" of animeshnikov. Share your opinion and tell us which anime you started your Ninja journey with!

"What's going on here?" or a beginner's guide to Pikuco

Welcome, newcomer, to our little world of Pikuco!

If you’ve taken your first steps on the site, completed a test that caught your interest, and now find yourself wondering, 'What else is there to do here?', then this article is definitely for you! Get comfortable, and I’ll explain everything as simply as possible.

As you’ve already gathered, our community specializes in creating, publishing, and storing various types of tests: these can be tournaments, quizzes, identifications, diagrams, and trees. You can read more about each test format in the separate detailed article.

"What's going on here?" or a beginner's guide to Pikuco

First things first, to unlock all the features of the site, you’ll need to create an account. Don’t worry, it only takes 2 minutes :)

Right after registering, you'll have your own personal page where you can set up a profile picture and background, change your nickname, and update your signature (status). On this page, all your stats will be displayed: how many tests you’ve created, how many you’ve taken, how many people have followed you, the ratings you've given, your own rating score (you can read about what the rating score is and why it matters in this article), your blog statistics, the number of awards you’ve earned, and your achievement progress (yes, you can earn achievements on our site and level them up, just like in video games).

"What's going on here?" or a beginner's guide to Pikuco

Also, if you scroll all the way to the bottom of your profile, you can learn about your interests: how many tests you’ve taken and in which categories, helping you (and others) get a sense of your or other user's preferences:

When you create an account, you’ll also get full access to creating your own tests. Pretty cool, right? Definitely give it a try! Just click the 'Create' button, choose the type of test you're interested in, and start developing it by following the prompts.

Published tests will appear in the main feed and be available to our entire audience (except for intentionally hidden, non-public tests).

If you're not quite ready to create your own tests yet but still want to have a good time, you can take and rate tests created by other users. At the end of each test, you'll be asked to rate it with a 'like' or 'dislike'. Your rating affects the test's position in the feed and the author's ranking.

You can read more about the rating system and why it's important in the following article.

Perhaps you have a hidden talent for writing? In that case, another great feature of our site for you is posts. By creating your own blog, you can write articles on any topic, whether it’s science, history, or even sports. You’re sure to find readers with whom you can discuss and chat about shared interests in the comments! Pikuco also features a built-in messenger where you can chat with users about various topics, discuss common interests, and ask questions to more experienced members of our community. I'm sure they would be happy to offer their advice, making your journey even easier and more enjoyable.

To message a selected user, go to their page and click on the displayed icon (a tooltip saying 'Send message' will appear when you hover over it). You will be redirected to a personal chat for further communication.

Once you get immersed in community life, you'll definitely want to test your skills in internal competitions, or simply connect with other users who share your interests by chatting in the public chat.

For this, you need to create your own squad or join an existing one. The maximum number of participants in a squad is three people.

You can learn more about squads and detailed information about competitions between them in the article linked here.
