This Privacy Policy explains how Pikuco (the website pikuco.com and its mobile application, hereinafter “Pikuco”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, shares and deletes information about you when you use Pikuco. By using Pikuco you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please stop using Pikuco.
Pikuco is an online entertainment platform where users take and create quizzes, personality tests, tier lists, tournaments (“pick the best” brackets), text quests and blog posts, comment on them, compete in ratings and join teams (“squads”). Viewing and taking most content does not require an account. An account is needed to create content, comment, save results and appear in ratings.
2.1. Account information you provide. When you register with email and password we collect your email address, login (username) and password (stored only as a salted hash). You may optionally add a display name, profile picture, profile background, short bio and links to your social profiles.
2.2. Information received from Google (Sign in with Google). If you choose to sign in with your Google account, we request only the basic scopes email and profile (userinfo.email, userinfo.profile). From Google we receive:
We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar or any other Google services, and we cannot post anything on your behalf.
2.3. Content you create. Tests, quizzes, tier lists, tournaments, quests, posts, comments, images you upload, votes, likes and test results.
2.4. Technical and usage data. IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, language, pages visited, time of visits and referring pages. This data is collected automatically in server logs and through cookies (see section 7).
2.5. Push notifications. If you allow browser or app notifications, we store a device token issued by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging so that we can deliver notifications to you.
We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for purposes other than those listed above.
Data received from Google (section 2.2) is used only to create your Pikuco account, sign you in, and show your name and profile picture in your Pikuco profile. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not transfer it to third parties except as required by law or as needed to operate the service (for example, our hosting provider). Humans do not read this data unless you ask us for support, it is necessary for security reasons or it is required by law.
Pikuco’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can revoke Pikuco’s access to your Google account at any time on the Google Account permissions page.
Your login, display name, profile picture, bio, rating, and the content you publish (tests, posts, comments etc.) are visible to other visitors of Pikuco. Your email address, password, IP address and Google account ID are never shown publicly.
We share personal data only with:
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Pikuco uses cookies to keep you signed in, remember your settings (for example, the dark theme), protect forms from abuse and collect anonymous usage statistics through Google Analytics. Our own cookies do not contain your password or other sensitive data. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, but some features (such as staying signed in) will stop working. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Server logs are kept for a limited period needed for security and troubleshooting. We use HTTPS encryption, store passwords only as hashes and restrict access to personal data to the administrators who need it to operate Pikuco.
You can edit your profile data at any time in your profile settings. To delete your account and all personal data associated with it (including data received from Google), send a request from the email address linked to your account to admin@pikuco.com. We will delete your account within 30 days. Content you published may be removed together with the account or anonymized. Some data may be kept longer only if we are required to do so by law.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing and to withdraw your consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at admin@pikuco.com.
We send service emails related to your account. Notification emails can be switched off in your profile settings, and every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link.
Pikuco is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Pikuco may contain links to other websites and embedded content (for example, YouTube videos). We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of these websites.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The new version takes effect when it is published on this page; the date of the last update is shown at the top. If the changes are significant, we will notify registered users.
