Hello, dear community members!
This guide is mainly useful for beginners who have not yet fully mastered and do not fully understand: what is the rating and how it works.
First, let's look at the ways to get a rating points:
1. Passing the tests.
The first time you pass any test, regardless of the format, you get one rating point. Thus, even active users who do not want to create tests have the opportunity to enter the top.
2. When evaluating your tests and collections by other registered users.
When passing the test, each registered user can rate it with two rating options: "Like" and "Dislike".
A "Like" score earns you 1 rating point.
The Dislike score takes away 1 rating point from you.
Therefore, if you release interesting content, your rating will grow, and otherwise it will fall, so do it wisely.
With collections and posts, everything works on the same principle.
Any registered user can rate other users' comments.
A positive rating gives the author of the comment a 0.2 rating. Accordingly, in order to receive one rating point, it is necessary that your comment be positively evaluated 5 times, or 5 comments once, etc. The situation with a negative rating is similar, only in this case the rating does not increase, but decreases.
When creating tests, you can receive the "Hype!" and "Perfect Test" awards, which will add 25 rating units each to you. You can also nominate a test for the "Quality Mark" award, which will increase the position of your test in the output and help you earn even more ratings, however, for the nomination you must meet the requirements depending on the specific type of test.
For posts, there are similar awards "Tribune" (10 rating) and "Hot Post" (20 rating), as well as the award "Editors' Choice", which works similarly to the "Quality Mark".
Another great way to get a rating is to run a personal blog.
For each positive rating of your posts, you get 1 rating point. Write interesting posts and your rating will soar along with popularity.
So we've looked at all the ways to get a rating. Now let's talk about why it is needed?
It would seem that the rating is needed only to measure your success in the community.
But in fact, the rating provides several more opportunities...
For example, editing sections of other people's tests:
If you have 100 rating points, you can edit the sections and tags of the tests. For example, you see a test about movies, but for some reason it is in the "Games" section. Then you can go to the test statistics page and click on the pencil icon next to the list of its sections and tags. After that, the administration will review your application, and if the verdict is positive, you will receive 1 rating unit.
If you score 1000 rating points, you will have the opportunity to create your own squad, invite friends to it and participate in the competition for legendary rewards together.
Also, when you get 1000 rating points, you will have the opportunity to become the Editor of Pikuco. You can read more about this in
this article.
