It was the 70s version that became the first film adaptation based on King and how did it come out?

Carrie (1976)

Palma himself shot the film adaptation and knowing how he shoots, you can understand that he will not be shy.

I started immediately with the shower scene. Cruel and repulsive. Although she kind of shows at the beginning what kind of wows everyone is. Carrie himself is a strange girl and strange in appearance. I wouldn't say that she is pretty. Thanks to Sissy Spaceic, the image turned out to be very memorable, for which the actress received a nomination. The same is her mother. Pure scum, who, although she kind of loves her daughter, beats and torments with moralizing.

Well, one of Carrie's main enemies is Chris Harginsen. Here she is played by Nancy Allen. RoboCop will glorify her. But after that role, it is difficult to watch her in the role of scum. Travolta is still lost somewhere.

And what about the film? This is still a relevant movie, which is ahead of its time. The theme of teenagers and bullying. The theme of monster creates monster. The theme is the problem of the schools themselves. Yes, here the moments did not reach a little, in some places. But the finale is powerful. There is no bullying. There is a friend who dies. Outwardly, the heroine is quite ok. Except that the ending is bloody, but it does not work. The school of scum was not really revealed, rather it is even decent. After reading, you can understand that they wanted to make a separate movie, but came with a kind of sequel about a left-wing character. What?

Almost a series. But everything was so bad that the film was dropped.

The TV film strongly follows the canon. The beginning is from the end. Again, a shower and the development of what will lead to the finale. Critics called the version bad and weak. But I wouldn't say that.

Local Carrie is the worst version of the others. The actress is well chosen, but underperforms. The scum played by the star Staying alive is just the perfect hit, at least outwardly. The teacher is finally not the log of the plot, but the teacher really drowns for the heroine. The star of American Horror Story, played by Carrie's mother, also does not reach the main version of the 70s. Well, the ending, it could have been better, especially if you remove the interruptions and the ending here is good.

Why then are the ratings low? Well, as I said, this is a TV movie, because it is shown quite outdated and very weak. Don't you have a feeling that you are watching a fake?

It is worth starting with the actress. Chloë Moretz is one of the most beautiful actresses, take Ellie - Bella Ramsay for such a role (the current effect is different). It is also worth noting that this is the highest-grossing version and the most expensive. And it is logical why. The film is the highest quality among others.

Finally, the scum is just scum, but too much. Finally, the story is modernized, and even before Flanigan. Finally, a girl who is ready to help Carrie helps her. And the guy? Elgort is the best version (but I'll write all the best versions at the end). Moore is still the perfect fit for the role of a mother. More stingy than loving. Reflection of her behavior in public and so on.

God, even the ending in the series is the best. The bloodiest. After reading the opinions, I still did not understand the big problems of the film, except that it is very sterile. Filmed like this, but without pleasure and somehow caricature. And yet there is an opinion that this is a normal screen adaptation.

I saw the highest ratings in the episode and didn't really understand why. The series is very suitable for the film. These are the ones used by the director. Now it's a big statement. The topic of bullying is still a relevant problem, a problem with inclusivity and peculiarity.

Carrie prepares with everyone for a possible terrorist attack and then does not see the support of teachers. Finally, they paid attention to everything. Carrie's childhood was fully revealed, Harginson was revealed and thanks to the script you see the parallel worlds of the Persians. Flan knows how to attract and has already shot film adaptations not for the first time. There are also no problems with the actors. There are, as before, interruptions in interviews with the characters and acting. I will especially praise Carrie herself, but next...

I would praise all this until I watched the series to the end. As a film statement about bullying is very good, as a film adaptation of a book - no.
