TOP 5 FAVORITE CHARACTERS | MOVIES AND TV SERIES

• Maximus Decimus Meridius. The movie "Gladiator"
The Gladiator from the movie of the same name remains one of my favorite characters in the world of cinema. The character gathers the features of a real man, war, who, after a series of losses of people close to him, lives only by one thing — the desire for revenge.

"My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius. Commander of the northern armies, General of the Spanish legions. A loyal servant of the true Emperor Marcus Aurelius... The father of the murdered son and the husband of the murdered wife. In this life or the next... I will avenge them."

• Jack Sparrow. The Pirates of the Caribbean movie Series
First, of course, I want to correct myself, because my favorite character in the pirate universe is not just Jack Sparrow... This is Captain Jack Sparrow! The most charismatic character played by Johnny Depp attracts comical situations and views on the world and what is happening in it.

• Rustin "Rust" Cole. The series "True Detective" [season 1]
A talented but eerily troubled homicide detective in the state of Louisiana. After the death of his daughter, he actively begins to abuse alcohol, often smokes. • Mao Mao. Anime "The pharmacist's Monologue"
A girl with freckles painted on her pretty face, the granddaughter of a doctor who once served in the palace courtyard. He has an unhealthy craving for medicinal herbs and ingredients, and is crazy about poisons. A funny character with a rather attractive appearance.

TOP 5 FAVORITE CHARACTERS | CARTOONS AND ANIMATED SERIES

• SpongeBob. The SpongeBob Squarepants Animated Series
The storm of assholes and the reason for girls' tears. Yes, yes, it's all about one of the coolest cartoon characters of our time. He lives in Pineapple, works for Mr. Krabs, and pleases visitors with krabsburgers based on a secret recipe that he obviously knows.

• Jinx. The animated series "Arcane"
The best animated series of 2024 has assembled an amazing set of memorable characters, two of them are among my top 5 favorites. If we talk about the top leader, then this is Jinx, the slightly crazy second personality of the engineering genius, the Powder girl. Attractive looks and working brains are a forbidden combination, but it works with a bang.

• Silco. The animated series "Arcane"
The second rather controversial character from the series "Arcane" that was able to get into my top 5 is Silko. Being the leader of the "lower" city, he tried to make an independent state out of it, defended his people and did not let them be offended. He was practically killed by his own brother, who left a scar on his left eye. The character is smart, cunning. At one time, he replaced Jinx's father, the only one whom she obeyed, albeit quite rarely.

• Bugs Bunny. The animated series "Looney Tunes"
A sly, carefree, charismatic and intelligent rabbit. These character traits give him an advantage over his rivals. One of the best characters who can break the fourth wall and communicate with the audience.

• Po. Cartoon series "Kung Fu Panda"
A clumsy panda who works in his goose father's noodle shop becomes the chosen dragon warrior by the will of fate. He trains under the strict guidance of Master Shifu, joins the furious five and together with them confronts the villains.

TOP 5 FAVORITE CHARACTERS | VIDEO GAMES

• Arthur Morgan. The video game "Red Dead Redemption 2"
A cold-blooded and calculating member of the Van der Linde gang. Without the slightest doubt, he will shoot someone he considers his enemy. On the other hand, he adheres to the rules of his own moral code and takes care of those whom he considers close.

• Thomas Angelo. The video game "Mafia: Definitive Edition"
He worked as a taxi driver and had high driving skills, thanks to which he could easily evade any pursuit or catch up with a car trying to break away. By coincidence, he ends up in the criminal clan of Don Salieri. Successfully copes with the tasks set, becomes one of the key figures of the family.

• Geralt. The Witcher 3 video game
Geralt is a master of swordsmanship and magic, with the ability to use witcher marks (magic spells). He is known for his moral code and his desire to act on the principle of "not interfering," but he also does not remain indifferent to evil.

• Vito Scaletta. The Mafia video game

TOP 5 FAVORITE CHARACTERS | MANGA AND MANHWA

• Re Saeba. Manga "City Hunter"
The most hilarious character from the old manga "City Hunter". A private detective from Tokyo who investigates particularly dangerous cases. He cannot control (and does not want to do this) his enormous attraction to beautiful girls. As a character, he often breaks the fourth wall and communicates with readers. A full-length film was made based on the manga, where Jackie Chan plays the role of Saba.

• Song Jin-woo. Manhwa "Solo Leveling"
To be honest, I haven't read many manx books from beginning to end, but the absolute leader among them is raising the level alone. I've already reread it several times (mostly the most hyped action moments). The set of characters is good, the plot is not repulsive. A variety of abilities (especially the main character) — something that you really want to admire with a twinkle in your eyes. A film adaptation of the work is currently being released, approximately in the middle of the second season. The last sixth episode occupies one of the leading places in the top series with the highest average rating.

• Sasaki. Manga "The story of a smoke break behind the supermarket"
An office worker is in love with a supermarket cashier named Yamada, so he goes shopping with her every day. One day, Sasaki was late at work. Yamada's shift has already ended. However, as he passed by the store, he noticed a young woman with piercings smoking behind the store. Word by word, they became friends and started chatting on different topics, sipping a cigarette behind the store every day. But Sasaki does not suspect that under the unusual hooligan appearance of a new acquaintance, a pretty cashier is hiding, for whom he has loving feelings.

• Baku Madarame. Manga "USOGI"
There are players who are willing to risk their lives to win. Honesty in such games is monitored by neutral judges of the cruel and powerful Kagero organization. The hero of this story is Baku Madarame, known as the Eater of Lies. He will have to fight with madmen in deadly games. All in order to seize power in Kagero.

• Yoichi Nagumo. Manga "The Days of Sakamoto"
A professional assassin who was one of Sakamoto's old colleagues in the organization The "ORDER", which consists of the most capable killer killers. He possesses extraordinary strength and martial arts prowess, and is one of the most dangerous people Sakamoto encounters.
