Hi everyone! A little about me: I'm Kane, I'm 13 and I live in London.
And a couple of Russians are bullying me here, they write to me in private messages in English that I’m a stupid Englishman
So, I'm very angry at them, and yes, I'm English, not Russian!
Hello Everyone!
I read the posts of others and saw many making a post about their music playlists, and why shouldn't I try it.

Do you like my music playlist?0
It's been a while since I've been here...
Alas, my favorite section on this site (I'm talking about posts) is going through hard times, because if I used to be interested in reading some high-quality creative or interesting reading, now 80% of posts are a political forum, which I personally am not happy about at all. Bazaru zero: still comes across something interesting, and the newcomers are pleased: Mitsuri as an example of decent content posts. But still, most of the posts now are either something I don't understand, or a symmetry, or a cringe, or... just pissing. It's the same with my posts: readers have changed almost completely and they are no longer interested in electronic music, the heading "Galloping through Europe" or my "7 evil Pickups".
But that's not even the hardest part. The problem is that I think I'm starting to have a midlife crisis. I've never felt so amorphous in my life. I don't want to do anything: I don't want to play games, watch movies/cartoons/anime, or even drink alcohol. Even my favorite food doesn't bring me dopamine and highs. My two-week vacation ended the other day, and for almost all of those two weeks I stupidly lay with a sour face on the couch, flipping through and watching the news and gun art, while listening to music on a tape recorder. Maybe I'm wrong and it's not SWR at all, but the fact remains that my interest in my favorite things has disappeared somewhere.
And in order to somehow get out of this state, I decided to write this wall of text about the music that I've been listening to these two weeks - I'm talking about Underworld. I will be listening to and reviewing all (almost all) the work of this group with the main fox, the wife of the ZZZ game, Miyabi Hoshino. Let's get started a little bit, before I score again.
Yeah, these guys

Come on, I've already talked about the Anders in the review of their album Beacoup Fish, so we won't be here long. In short, the situation is as follows: Carl Hyde and Rick Smith, 2 cheerful old men of Borovichi, started by drawing pictures, but then they decided to create their own music. the group. Said and done, and these boys, who are already under 60, continue to delight millions of people with their music.
However, it is worth mentioning the fact that they did not start with electronics. Their first 2 albums were in the genre of punk rock and synthpop, and they were just amazing. Although the songs were well-written and well-sung, the songs themselves sounded incredibly default and without a twist. The Anders realized that such a muse. you can't cook porridge style, and after 5 long years they hired English DJ Darren Emerson and reinvented themselves in the electronic music format. And they didn't lose.
Let's move on to the album review. Miyabi, put the headphones on your fox ears, I'm turning on the PLAY button.
P.S. Everything that will be said below, I remind you, is pure subjectivity, because there is no objectivity in this world and there will not be.
Dubnobasswithmyheadman

That's Underworld's very first step into the world of electronics. And he's gorgeous! The music here is very atmospheric and high-quality techno, which, even with a slight delay, does not stifle or irritate. I am not surprised that the album has become a real asset of electronic music in the UK. The only negative here, in my cocky opinion, is the rather blurred ending of the album. But even so, it's a very tasty LP. And yes, the title of the post is a reference to the title of one of the tracks on this album.
Rating 9/10. Favorite tracks from the album: Mmm…Skyscraper I Love You, Spoonman, Cowgirl
Second Toughest in the Infants

The second visit to the electronic "field of experiments" turned out to be even more successful for the Anders than the first time. It's also techno and acid, only much faster and more psychedelic. The music here seems to be taken from the Unreal Tournament game, and this is another giant plus purely for me. But the most important thing about this album is that the main hit of the band appeared here.: Born Slippy .NUXX. Who would have thought that a track with only a beautiful melody, Karl Hyde's screaming vocals and a stupidly hammering barrel instead of bass would become the soundtrack to the movie "On the Needle", and after almost 30 years, also the soundtrack to the full-length anime about cute girls "Your Color". After all, I didn't give 6 thousand rubles for vinyl for nothing! We're listening and getting high!
Evaluation: 10/10. Favorite tracks from the album: Banstyle/Sappy's Curry, Pearl's Girl, Born Slippy .NUXX
Beaucoup Fish

We've already had a full review of this record, so I'll just say one thing: we're listening right now!
Evaluation: 10/10. Favorite tracks from the album: Push Upstairs, Shudder/King of Snake, Moaner
A Hundred Days Off

From that moment on, the guys say goodbye to Darren Emmerson and start making electronics only as a duo. And this album turned out... specific to me. I've listened to this LP many times, but I only remember a couple of tracks. This doesn't mean that the album is bad. It's just that, first of all, they didn't put the squeeze on the drive, and secondly, the songs became a little more of the same type... Actually: the taste and color.
Rating: 6/10. Favorite tracks from the album: Two Months Off, Dinosaur Adventure 3D
Oblivion with Bells

I also wrote about this album in a post (I don't really remember which one) and then I gave it a very high rating. And I'm not going back on my words, because this is a very cool album. In fact, this is probably the most atmospheric beginning of all the band's albums: the first two tracks literally envelop the body and immerse it in a kind of meditation. And the rest of the tracks here are great. In fact, this is the same as the last album: calm and unhurried electronics, but which is now remembered for its melodies and vocals. We're listening to this!
Evaluation: 10/10. Favorite tracks from the album: Crocodile, Beautiful Burnout, Boy, Boy, Boy
Barking

As far as I know, the band's fans really dislike this record because the Anders have taken a commercial course and this album sounds very pop. In principle, I even agree with the opinion of the fans, but I can't call the album bad. Some of the songs that I listened to here for the first time stuck in my head for a very long time and which I then hummed for two or three hours at work. And the experiments here are very good (especially the Scribble DnB track). In short, it's a great album, even though it's inferior to the previous ones (almost all of them).
Rating: 8/10. Favorite tracks from the album: Always Loved a Film, Scribble
Barbara Barbara, We Face a Shining Future

To be completely honest, for me this album is a "one-track album". But Jesus Christ, what a great track this is!!! He's at the top of the list (I Exhale), and that's all I need to give a good, good rating to the entire album in general, despite the fact that the rest of the tracks are just normal and I don't really remember anything.
I especially want to highlight the clip for I Exhale: I still don't understand why it didn't become a meme like some Crab Rave. In the video, Carl Hyde just stupidly opens and closes the door to the track. And everything. Read the comments, there are sometimes the same funny jokes as the comments under Papich's video with Nats under Hydrogen.
Score: 8/10 (purely for the first track). Favorite tracks from the album: I Exhale
Drift Series 1

This album is one giant experiment, not only musically, but also visually. Let me explain: for exactly one year, starting from 2018 to 2019, the Anders made one track and a clip for this track every week! And the whole album is coming (attention!) "IT'S ALMOST SEVEN O'CLOCK!"!! To listen to such a fat-assed album in its entirety is already a feat. But this is by no means a negative, no. The disadvantage here is something else, some tracks are repeated here, which is not very cool. And there are cool tracks every other time. In short, it's a very brave staff, which, although it took a hell of a long time, still deserves a good rating. At least, I've never seen anything like this in the music world.
Rating: 7/10. Favorite tracks: Another Silent Way, Appleshine, S T A R
Strawberry Hotel

At the moment, this is the last album of the Anders. And he... It's not catchy at all. Okay, the beginning of the album is bouncy, there are cool tracks, but from the middle of the record the songs become completely flabby. Although this is not the weakest thing I have listened to from the Anders, but my assessment will be harsh.
The rating is 5/10. Favorite tracks: Denver Luna, Techno Shinkansen (soryan, I didn't find these tracks on YouTube)
* * *
Well, on that note, it's time to end the post. What's the bottom line: the Underworld band is truly amazing. Despite the very advanced age of the participants, Carl and Rick are still in the ranks and still give jazz (albeit with varying success). Cool, cho! I can also recommend this video from Ra Jan about the Anders, their becoming stars in England and their main hits.
As for me... Uhhh.. To be honest, all this writing didn't really help me get rid of that midlife crisis (or whatever else you can call it). But still, I'm at least a little glad for telling you what I really like to listen to. May God grant me to survive this state, and may God forbid you to catch it. And thank you for listening to really good and atmospheric music with me.
I'll just say one thing: Mmmm... Pikookers, I love you! (I think you can listen to this track again on a stick)

My respects for reading!^^
Does music help you lighten your mood?1
Retro-style culture cannot be called mainstream, but it still occupies its niche. The insane popularity of Gosling movies, games like "Yakuza", "Katana Zero" and "Hotline Miami" suggests that there is a demand for the aesthetics of the neon 80s. The situation is about the same with music.
Compositions in the retrowave or synthwave genre have long been recognized by the people for their atmospheric character and relative ease of execution. In the wake of the popularity of retrowave music, micro-genres similar to it began to be born. This article will be devoted to one of them – a genre called Future Funk.
Future Funk is a genre of electronic music, which is a processing of old pop compositions that have not gained popularity, pop compositions wrapped in a special anime aesthetic. The style of anime plays an important role in this regard, since the genre mainly lives on the Internet in the form of various montages and clips on YouTube. Stills and animations from old-school anime of the 80s and 90s like "Sailor Moon", "Grendizer" or "Megazone 23", which complement the music, are simply called aesthetics or aesthetics in the community. For some compositions, there are several variants of different aesthetics.

Technically, Future Funk doesn't look too inventive, it's often just rhythmic remixes of popular music from previous years with the addition of a "cut-off" filter and synth tracks.
The main feature of Future Funk, which distinguishes it from similar genres, such as Vaporvawe, is that unpopular compositions of the Japanese or Korean pop scene are processed. The hieroglyphs in the track names act not only as an element of style, but also as the original title of the song. Future Funk always sounds rhythmic, incendiary and familiar. Although for performers of the genre, the main challenge is on the contrary to find the basis, that is, a track that almost no one has ever heard.
The very name Future funk literally means "funk of the future". But specifically, funk, popular in the 60s and 70s, has nothing in common with the musical direction. Rather, the fact that the very word "funk", or in Japanese "funk", sounds quite old-school and nostalgic, plays a role here. It is quite difficult to answer the question of why the genre exploits Asian aesthetics.
Perhaps the reason lies in its niche, and the entire audience, including the performers, are just fans of the old anime. It can also be assumed that the painted Japan in the eyes of the community is most vividly associated with the future, and the word Future is inserted in the name for a reason.
The first to start working in this genre is considered to be the American musician Skylar Spence or Saint Pepsi.

Prior to that, he wrote music in the Vaporvawe genre and in 2013 released the album "Hit Vibes", in which most of the tracks belonged to the then-new genre of Future Funk.
Now Future Funk tracks can be easily found on the Internet. Music of this format almost does not go beyond the network, no concerts or thematic events are held on it. This is quite obvious, because in fact Future Funk is just a not too complicated remix of an existing song.
Even in its niche of electronic music, funk of the future is not very popular, mainly due to the fact that anime style is not to everyone's taste. There are several online radio stations on YouTube broadcasting music in this genre, and a whole mountain of clips with aesthetics. In this regard, the Artzie music channel stands out especially, but among all the compositions there you need to look for exactly those with hieroglyphs in the names. The most popular song in the genre is probably the composition ("Break") from the artist Lordsun, more than a dozen aesthetic options have been made for it.
Future Funk is certainly not the most inventive and revolutionary genre. It sounds monotonous, and from the technical side, they don't put too much effort into it to admire the work done later. The funk of the future is well suited for walks, household chores or just nostalgia for the days when the grass was greener, games more difficult than "Ninja Gaiden" have not yet been invented, and only good anime was played on TV.
I took the article from here
As you all know perfectly well, I am no longer particularly quoted on this site: I create few tournaments and tests (there are almost no views, which is why I permanently catch a tilt), I was blown away as a streamer (the last launch gathered viewers a little more than shit), and Valgamus rules in the posts with his very important news. Add another modified work schedule (completely unaccustomed to working at night) + the fact that in my dump room after the shift he starts drilling concrete through the wall (a liter of diarrhea down his throat) and get a physically and mentally tortured man completely to the edge.
In general, the week began very stressfully. And what better way to calm a person down? Music, of course! And I'm willing to bet I'm not the only one so tortured. So if you are also tired of work/study/exams/sessions (or just want to add to your playlist) then let's relax together and listen to some pleasant-sounding albums.
Dido - Still On My Mind

I'm sure the zoomers have never heard of Dido (and the boomers only know her about the vocal sample in Eminem's Stan track). And it's a shame, because the music of this British singer is very beautiful. I consider this album to be the apogee of her work: there is simply not a single extra track here.
Favorite tracks from this album: Hurricanes, Take You Home, Mad Love
The Crystal Method - The Trip Home

My attitude towards Crystals is no less warm than towards the Prodigies: their music is just as driving and kachy. But unlike DJs, they have more calm and melodic works. The Trip Home album is a confirmation of this. There is everything to relax the brain: light synthwave compositions, and more brutal, but no less melodic electro-rock.
Favorite tracks from this album: There's A Difference, Holy Arp, The Drive Inside
Kaleida - Think

It is a crime to talk about pleasant and relaxing music without mentioning Kaleidas. If you're a movie fan, you've probably heard this musical group in the first part of "John Wick" (the track Think is just playing there).
But besides this composition, they also have a whole sea of excellent and soothing content. I haven't had time to listen to the full albums yet (because they are not in VK), but I'm sure, since the EP Think turned out to be good, then the full-fledged albums will be very cool.
Favorite tracks from this album: Oddly enough, Think, Ruby, Take Me To The River
Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92

Aphex Twin is an extremely hellish person who became famous not only for his music that was blown out of his head, but also for his actions. For example, at one of his performances at the club, Richard put on playing instead of a record... sandpaper disk, thereby scaring the hell out of 95% of visitors. I don't say anything about the clips at all: after watching his Come To Daddy, you can really go crazy.
But surprisingly, he also made one of the most calm and beautiful albums in the history of electronic music. I still can't believe that this record was released in the ancient Egyptian 85-92 years, but it still listens fresh and cheerful. Be sure to listen!
P.S. A little later, the second part of SAW was released and it is also worth listening to (although IMHO weaker than the first part)
Favorite tracks from this album: Xtal, Heliosphan, Actium
The Chemical Brothers - Come With Us

For some reason, this record is tightly connected with the second curling iron: my friend had this console as a child and we often fell in with him to play with the whole yard. The only game he had was the WRC II Extreme rally simulator. Then I really liked the music playing in the main menu and in the car selection (the tracks Come With Us and Star Guitar were playing). And now, almost 20 years later, I was able to find these compositions in this album of chemical brothers. Vin!
The album itself, unlike the upper representatives, is more dynamic, but still has light and melodic songs. In general, it is an ideal plate for jogging or training, for example
Favorite tracks from this album: Star Guitar, Denmark, The Test
I am A reality

I would like to add something from the Russian performers, and Reality, as for me, is the best thing that can be thrown into a soothing selection of music. It's still the same Dido or Kaleidah, but in the Russian manner (I wouldn't be surprised if Reality was inspired by them).
Favorite tracks from this album: By the Shore, Don't Tell Me Anything, Listen In The Dark
Daft Punk - Discovery

The original cover

Japanese version
And finally, a little mainstream. Dafts are legendary, no doubt. Moreover, I've never been a fan of their work (especially their latest albums are boring as fuck), but Discovery just rolls me in like a kick. Separately, it is worth noting the anime musical Interstella 5555, in which each track of the group was animated as a separate episode of animation in the story of the abduction and rescue of an interstellar pop group.
Favorite tracks from this album: One More Time, Harder Better Faster Stronger, High Life

Such a selection turned out to be. If you are a music lover and if you have something to share from relaxing music, then write in the comments.
And so: my respects for reading and listening!^^
What kind of music can relax you?0
After reading the title of the post, you will probably ask me: "Skeleton, what were you smoking? Go get out!" Don't worry, my friends, I'll explain everything now:
Do you remember the post about my CD collection? In it, I spoke very flatteringly about the band Underworld and their album Oblivion With Bells, giving it a ten out of ten. Continuing to add to my collection, I began to look for other records of this group and found Beaucoup Fish released in 1999 on Avito.
Having taken it for myself, I immediately listened to it. And so... Forget what I said about Oblivion With Bells. It's not a 10/10. Beaucoup Fish is a ten. No, a hundred out of ten! No bitch, it's a mower out of 10!!! The album impressed me so much that I would like to analyze it more specifically here in my blog. And so that you don't spit on the monitor, because for you electronic music is the piss of a camel, I decided to entice the reader with an animation. Or rather, I called Hitori Goto from the anime "Lonely Rocker!" so that they would also listen to each track and share their emotions when listening (something similar was in my other post with Tika Fujiwara). Or if you just like my literary style, then have a nice read!
Yeah, these guys

But before I tell you what makes this "fish" so good, a few words about the band itself: Underworld is a duo (formerly a trio) of boys from the UK (the birthplace of iconic electronic music), consisting of Carl Hyde and Rick Smith. Before making music, they painted paintings and also worked as dishwashers at a local rock club. Starting to tear up plates and craft salads, the guys decided to join the world of sound writing themselves, only at first it was not entirely successful: their then-band The Screen Gemz was not fucking needed by anyone. Later they founded another band: Freur. And they also shit themselves.
And only from the third pass did Hyde and Smith more or less succeed: their Underworld MK1 suddenly fired and then it started!
Beaucoup Fish

And here is the hero of the occasion. The fifth official album of the Anders then, in '99, gave a lot of shit to the entire dance scene. The album was very well received by music critics and remains the band's best-selling album to date.
Let's not delay, let's move on to the songs:
Cups

The album begins with a rather harmless and unpretentious techno track that runs for almost 11 (!) minutes. But despite this, the track sweeps through your head very quickly and there is no feeling of tightness. In addition, Cups is divided into two parts and the transition between them gives the impression that you listened to a certain DJ set in miniature. The beginning has been made!
8/10
Push Upstairs

An excellent and dynamic progressive trance composition with a very catchy piano melody. I especially wanted to mention how Hyde sings here. It doesn't even sound like singing, but rather like reading out some kind of prayer or sermon. It turns out very strangely and out of place, but at the same time it takes the vocals.
9/10
Jumbo

This track gives off some vibes of The Chemical Brothers and early The Prodigy. Also, a rather simple and ordinary composition, but for some reason I want to listen to it further. Probably because of the haunting bass melody that will be spinning in my head after eavesdropping for a long time.
8/10
Shudder/King Of Snake

Along with Moaner, this track is one of the main tracks in the album and one of the most famous in the band in general. The number of remixes and bootlegs for this song is slightly more than before. The song itself is gorgeous, with so many different sounds and percussion appearing in it every time that you can go crazy. And the remix by Fatboy Slima turns the track into a meaty and tearing f*alo bigbit, which is no worse than the original.
10/10
Winjer

Suddenly, after three dynamic and danceable compositions, the Anders decided to slow down the tempo with this ambient techno track. A very calm, atmospheric and enveloping thing, listening to which creates the feeling that you are deep in Antarctic waters. I haven't heard a staff like that from a DJ since Narayan!
10/10
Skym

An even quieter track, which is already a full-fledged ambient. Just light, barely audible electronic synths. And nothing more. Although the vocals were superfluous here, the track would have been even better without it. Probably...
8/10
Bruce Lee

Well, we've had a rest and we can slam again. This song is a very pretentious and delivering piece in every sense in the style of electro, hip-hop and alternative. By the way, the beat reminded me of the Robbie Williams song Supreme, only tougher and more brutal. Why not?
8/10
Kittens

Absolutely every album should have some kind of "snot", i.e. a track that does not stand out in comparison with the rest. This track took over this fate. Well, I played here, although the track is still as dynamic and was even taken by the soundtrack to the Wipeout game, but this time it is very boring and ordinary. And it takes too long to accelerate. Although the name is very cute: "Kittens" = Z
6/10
Push Downstairs

Reworking of the second track from progressive trance to ambient. The tempo has decreased, the basses and synths have changed from powerful and disconnected to deeper ones, the text has changed slightly. It turned out very well, although the first version delivers much more.
7/10
Something Like a Mama

Another relaxing composition, only at a high tempo. The song smooths out falling breakbeats with soft ascending pads, and guitar taps add depth and atmosphere to the track. Almost a perfect score!
9/10
Moaner

Well, that's the finale. And perhaps the most memorable track of the album. What's the point: the track begins with a rather ordinary techno, but each time more and more brutal and greasy gadgets are added to it. And if at first you just move your head slightly, then by the third minute your whole body is already cold.
But this is just the beginning. In the middle, the track returns to its initial state and Carl Hyde begins to read his "sermon" again. At first, he reads in Borya Moiseev's dull voice, but again, over time, he begins to raise his voice more and more, almost breaking down in the end. And with it, just like the first time, the music becomes more psychotic and disconnected.
This. Simply. A*uenno. The highest score!!!
10/10

Such things. Until recently, I had 2 pillars of the best electronic albums: These are The Fat Of The Land from DJs and Dig Your Own Hole from Chemicals. But after I bought and listened to Beaucup Fish, there were 3 of these pillars. Critics referred to the album as the "Dark Side of the Moon" of electronics, and I agree with them 146%. I highly recommend you to listen!
Well, how do you like Hitori? Did you like it?

- Yeah!
I knew it.
My respects for reading!^^
