An anime that Doesn't EXIST!

Hello everyone Today I'm going to tell you about a very interesting anime that has reached people from all over the world. What is it exactly? - I'll tell you now.

 Preface

You had a feeling when you remembered a cartoon, a game, or a book. You start scouring the internet for the name, but you DON'T FIND ANYTHING.
Now I'm going to tell a similar story, which has a huge fanbase, a lot of theories and guesses. Let's go!

How did it all start?

It all started in February 2015 on 4chan. One of the users shared a story about a strange anime from the guro genre that he once saw. (Guro is a trend in hentai dedicated to mixing eroticism with all sorts of tin, like dismemberment, trauma, and the like.)

According to his story, a group of 9 schoolgirls were locked in a large white room with no doors, very similar to a bathroom. Suddenly, arguments begin between the heroines about whether they need to leave this room. Conversations lead to nothing and after a few days, starved and desperate schoolgirls eventually commit suicide. Someone cut his throat, and someone drowned himself. Its name, as the author of the post said, was Go for a punch. And after a while, one of the users wrote that the anime was called Saki Sanobashi.

And this story would have been over if other users had not started to remember that they had also seen this anime. They gathered in small groups and started watching a lot of anime in the genre of Hentai Guro, 80-90 years (it was in these years, as the author of the post said, and the anime was created), but they did not find anything.
The story seemed to have died down, but in 2018, another user on Twitter also described this anime. According to him, he was looking for a Manga where 3 girls were stuck in a room, and there was also a moment in which one girl helped another drown herself. And its name is in Japanese: Saki Sanobashi.
Thanks to this post, people started digging the Internet again and here are some new facts.

Title: Saki Sanobashi

If you didn't know, there are 3 types of alphabet in Japan: Katakana, Hiragana and Kanji. Let's focus on the last one. There are several characters in it that read the same way, but are written differently and therefore have different meanings.
The name of the anime that some users suggested: Saki San no Bashi (in the Saki Torture Room)

In 2019, one of the Reddit users said that he was the author of the first post about Saki Sanobashi, claiming that it was a joke that he came up with. To confirm that the author of the post is really him, namely, he provided the data of the original image that he used in the post.

But it turned out that this is not true, because the weight of his file and the file on 4chan are different.

After a while, people found a website with a video and a description that matched Saki Sanobashi's description. The site was called Dark Anime. It turned out that the anime was released in 1986, but there is one THING. The website where it was available was created at the end of 2014.

What really happened to Saki Sanobashi?

One of the popular theories is that the authorities banned this anime. In Japan, the Guro genre was banned by the government, respectively, the anime was banned and no one knew their names anymore.

At the time of 2024, the search continues, and people are creating a lot of interesting art and even created a video game and fan animation.

Well, this is where this story comes to an end. Who knows, maybe in a few years people will finally find the lost title, or maybe it will remain a mystery for many years.
