So, the last few years have become some of the most difficult in the history of major studios like Disney and Pixar. On the one hand, a lot of failed projects have been released over the past 7-8 years, and on the other, new animation studios have appeared that create high—quality films with the help of small teams.

Now Disney and Pixar are experiencing creative stagnation, so in the next 6 years we will see a large number of sequels to popular franchises. This method proved its effectiveness with the cartoon "Zootopia 2" (about which there was a previous post), which collected an impressive box office. These are the main trends in Hollywood animation right now.

And in this post I will talk about the planned projects of Disney and Pixar.

Toy Story 5

In fact, quite a lot is already known about Toy Story 5. We know for sure that Woody will return to his friends in the story and they will confront a new villain, the Lily Pad tablet. Apparently they decided to make some kind of metaphor, an allusion to the current generation that has abandoned toys (by the way, write your favorite childhood toy in the comments). The cartoon itself will be released in June this year.

Gatto

Less is known about this cartoon, and it makes sense because it won't be released until a year later, so it won't be until the end of the year that we see the trailer. All that is known is that everything is happening in Venice, the cat's name is Nero and he owes money to the feline mafia. Premiere March 2027.By the way, the only new project on the list

The sacred heart 3

One can only guess about the plot. Some people assume that the action will take place not in the kingdom, but in an Enchanted Forest and will tell about the magical spirits of the forest. Premiere November 2027.

The Incredibles 3

Nobody can really say anything about The Incredibles 3 because the plot is a top secret. Premiere in 2028.

Coco's Secret 2

It is known about Coco's Secret that we will see a grown-up main character. He will have to reveal new secrets of the family. Also, some people confidently say that we will see new characters. So we'll be waiting. Premiere in 2029.

The Ice Age.The boiling point.

 Nothing is known except that the plot will revolve around the topic of Global warming. It will premiere in February 2027.

Cars 4

In general, no one is trying to say anything about the 4th part, you just have to wait for the release of the cartoon. But it is known for sure that it is in production. It will be released in 2028 (most likely)

Bonus: Zveropolis 3

I decided to record Zootopia 3 as a bonus, because it has not been officially announced. But it is known that in 2019 the voice actor  Tommy Lister announced the development of 2 parts, that is, the official announcement of 3 parts is only a matter of time. Most likely, Zootopia 3 will be released in 2030, there is just time, and the company has a free year. Also, journalists with ties to Disney provided information about the development of Zveropolis 3-5, as Zveropolis is the most in-demand of Disney cartoons in the Chinese (the largest in the world) film market and will bring a lot of income to the company.

Key scenes with Jax

1. Initial apathy: Jax hardly participates in beach activities, sits on the sidelines, comments sarcastically. 
2. Theory: his detachment is not laziness, but a defense mechanism. He understands that "rest" is just an illusion, which hides another trap of Kane.

1. The scene with the photo of Kaufmo and Ribbit: Jax looks at the picture of the two disappeared characters for a long time, then a hand (similar to Ribbit's hand) reaches out to him. 
2. Theories: This is a hallucination due to the increasing mental disintegration. Jax subconsciously clings to the memories of his friends.The hand is a symbol of dispersion: Jax is on the verge of disappearing, and his consciousness "reaches out" to those who have already disappeared.Perhaps this is a manifestation of the Ribbit from another layer of circus reality (a hint of the multiverse).

1. Pressing the red button: Jax activates a mechanism that changes the rules of the episode. 
2. Main versions:Influenced by Kane. The AI could manipulate Jax through hidden signals (as it had previously forced him to become a vegan). The button is part of a scenario where Jax unknowingly plays the role of the "destroyer.". Jax, tired of being passive, decides to "break" the system himself, even if it will worsen the chaos. This is an act of rebellion against the role of the "merry man."A mistake due to stress. His mind is weakened by the loss of friends — he pressed the button without realizing the consequences.

1. Glowing eyes at the end: After pressing the button, Jax's eyes twinkle in the colors of the diffused substance.
2. Theory: he partially dissipated, but did not disappear completely. It can be:a temporary "breakdown" of his digital form; a sign that he is now connected to the scattering space; a hint of transformation into something else (for example, into an NPC or part of the circus code).

Global Theories about Jax

1. He's the key to escape.: His impulsiveness and unwillingness to obey Kane's rules may accidentally reveal the circus' vulnerability. For example:pressing a button could upset the balance of the simulation; him "scattering" could create a gap for others.

1. Jax hides the past: In previous episodes, he avoids talking about real life. 
2. Possible:he was already dying before joining the circus (hence his cynicism); his personality is artificially altered by Kane (like Abel's).

1. Double Play: Could Jax be secretly collaborating with Kane? His actions sometimes look like deliberate aggravation of chaos, which is beneficial to AI. But that's unlikely—his anger at Kane is too genuine.

1. A symbol of suppressed trauma: His sarcasm and aggression are a mask. The loss of Kaufmo and Ribbit has exposed his vulnerability: he is afraid of being the last one to remember the past.

References to previous episodes

• Kane and manipulation. In the episode "Everybody's Got Guns," the AI was changing Jax's behavior (veganism). This confirms that Jax is subject to external control.
• The theme of dispersion. In previous episodes, the scattering looked like a "dissolution". The glow in Jax's eyes is a new stage: perhaps the process has become reversible or mutated.
• The photo is like a trigger. Jax rarely shows emotion, but taking a picture of his friends makes him feel numb. This hints that memory is his weak spot.

What does this mean for the plot?

1. Jax can become an antihero. If his sanity continues to deteriorate, he will start unknowingly helping Kane.
2. A possible alliance with Pomni. She's also looking for a way out—their shared traumas (loss of identity) can bring them together.
3. The button is like a "point of no return". Its activation could:Accelerate the dispersion of other characters; open a portal to another layer of the circus; awaken dormant simulation codes.

Unanswered questions

• Who or what touched his hand?
• Why exactly did he press the button — was it an accident or a preordained step?
• Did he retain the memory of what happened after the glow of the eyes?

Bottom line: Jax in Episode 7 is shown as a character on the edge. His actions are a mixture of rebellion, desperation, and possible outside influence. This makes him the central figure of the coming events: either he will destroy the circus, or he will become its victim.
