brief information:

• Genre: Action, Thriller, comedy, crime;
• Countries: USA, Germany, UK;
• Directors: Robert Rodriguez, Ethan Manikis;
• Duration: 105 minutes.

plot:

The film tells the story of a former Mexican policeman who did not want to put up with the corruption of the system. A local drug lord kills his wife and daughter in front of his eyes.

Three years later, machete finds himself in Texas, where an unknown man offers him a reward to kill a local senator who is re-elected to Congress. When trying, the Mexican is framed, and the rating of the senator, who is intolerant of migrants, skyrockets.

Machete is being assisted by a secret organization dedicated to supporting defectors from Mexico. He leads an attack on a law enforcement agency that kills illegal immigrants, and makes public materials indicating a connection between the senator and Mexican drug traffickers.

the main characters:

Machete Cortez.

Machete prefers to stay away and often speaks with restraint. He observes his surroundings and evaluates situations before making a decision. Machete is highly skilled in various fighting techniques, uses his senses and reacts quickly to circumstances. When solving problems or making decisions, machete prefers logic and practicality over emotions. Machete quickly adapts to his plans based on new information and improvises comfortably in case of unexpected situations. Machete has a strong moral compass and opposes any form of injustice. Machete prefers to solve problems on his own, without relying heavily on others. Initially, Machete didn't really care about his brother or the rest of the family. Later, he shows more compassion and decides to help his family, especially becomes attached to Carmen and Junie and builds them new spy devices.

A machete.

Luz.

Luz is a strong and fair heroine.

some of her character traits:

kindness. Luz wants to help people, has his own taco truck, and lends food to the workers.
the mystery. The character combines elements of grace and at the same time complete unstoppability.
leadership. Luz is the head of a gang of illegal immigrants codenamed "the web".
activity. In the finale of the film, Luz destroys the Texas vigilante Vaughn and thus saves machete from unnecessary trouble.

Luz.

Sartana Rivera.

Sartana Rivera is a tough and fearless immigration agent. She is determined to catch the ruthless crime boss Mendes and protect her country from his criminal activities.

Sartana is organized and able to easily handle difficult situations, demonstrates a sense of duty and dedication to her role as a government agent. She takes a logical and rational approach to solving problems, relying on objective facts and analysis to make decisions.

Sartana is willing to put herself at risk in order to fulfill her mission. She is not afraid to take risks or accept new experiences, and approaches challenges with a sense of curiosity and humor.

Sartana Rivera.

Michael Booth.

Michael Booth is a ruthless businessman and corrupt senator who stops at nothing to achieve his goals.

some character traits of the character:
willingness to exploit others for personal gain. Booth is a formidable opponent of the main character of the film, machete Cortez.
manipulation and betrayal of others. Booth's manipulations and his involvement in various reprehensible acts in pursuit of his own interests reinforce his status as a villain.
striving for success and achievement. Booth strives to be the best in his field, whether as a sniper, strategist, or leader.
the ability to think outside the box. this gives him a unique advantage, allowing him to find unconventional solutions to problems.
Thus, Michael Booth embodies the dark side of politics and power, showing the devastating consequences of uncontrolled ambitions and moral decay.

Michael Booth.

Senator John McLaughlin.

Senator John McLaughlin is a powerful and corrupt politician, the main antagonist of the film.

some character traits of the character:

ruthless and manipulative. McLaughlin is willing to do anything to maintain his power and control.
He is not afraid to resort to violence or coercion to achieve his goals.
selfish and corrupt. McLaughlin uses his influence and resources to advance his own interests, often at the expense of others.
an opponent of Mexican immigration. He firmly believes that Mexican immigrants are pests that plague the United States.
I am convinced of the need to combat illegal immigrants from Mexico. McLaughlin openly calls them invaders, parasites, and so on.

Senator John McLaughlin.

Rogelio Torres.

A drug lord, Machete's former friend and boss who has become a sworn enemy.

some character traits of the character:

cold and calculating. Torres controls the drug business in Texas, his criminal empire is built on violence, intimidation and fear.
calm, but ruthless. Torres has his own devious goals.
a brave and adventurous personality. He is not afraid of dangers and is always looking for new challenges and excitement.
the ability to make quick decisions and adapt to new situations. This is reflected in his quick reactions and problem-solving skills in a high-stakes crime world.

Rogelio Torres.

my assessment.

the film is really very interesting. I didn't dare to watch it for a long time, as many people said they didn't like the movie. but now, after watching it, I can say - it's a MASTERPIECE! there is a place to laugh, there is a place to cross, and that's good. my brother was wondering where the naked girl hid the phone in the beginning). my score is 9.9/10. not 10/10 because my parents kicked my ass for watching 'debauchery' and 'brutal carnage'.
