Statistics: The test for the instinctive subtype of the enneag

In E1, the passion of Anger combined with the instinct of self-preservation (SP), the anger of SP1 then transforms into concern that they are imperfect. They feel like they have to be perfect to survive. This subtype 1 is the most perfectionist, and they also hide their anger the most. You can often see how this subtype turns its anger into warmth, not wanting it to show up. They may feel dirty or feel that they need to improve a lot in themselves, which creates additional pressure for them. However, such people are often extremely critical of themselves and the world around them.

The irony is that if you mix When Pride is distorted by the instinct of self-preservation, E2 begins to worry about his safety and self-preservation, showing flattery to E1 with the instinct of adaptation, you get a character whose main feature is the inability to adapt. It is difficult for these people to follow social norms and rules of behavior, because they consider their position above the public one and expect others to meet their ideal standards. They project their impeccability onto the social sphere. Instead of going with the flow, they try to impose what they think should happen, and they have rigid ideas about how they and others should behave in society. Anger is half-hidden here, it does not turn into warmth, as in SP1, or "explosive", as in SX1, here it transforms into coldness, a colder attitude that expects you to follow it. Anger seeps out only when their ideals don't match.

When Anger comes into contact with the sexual instinct, it generates a character who combines his ideals of perfection and projects them onto another, correcting and forcing others to meet their standards. Here, anger is expressed most freely in the three subtypes 1, since they consider it their duty to correct others and make them more "perfect." A common social role of this subtype is that of a coach, the one who is paid to yell at you to make you better.

When Pride is distorted by the instinct of self-preservation, E2 begins to worry about his safety and self-preservation, showing flattery and pride as ways to guarantee an advantage in the face of danger, which leads to a neurotic need to be, as Ichazo said, "the most important." If Pride is a passion to see oneself above oneself, then self—preservation is guided by the idea that they should be protected first of all. As soon as the social instinct meets the Pride of the Two, this pride turns into a person. Despite this, SP2 is the least proud of the subtypes, since they tend to provide favors and be compliant in order to receive love and attention in return. He entertains and pleases others, expecting to receive compensation in return. This kind of overindependency is thus "punctuated by complaints ranging from "I don't need help" to "no one cares about me." He often resorts to emotional manipulation, blaming the other in order to achieve satisfaction of his needs."

As soon as the social instinct meets the Pride of the Two, this pride turns into a person who is often called a careerist. Pride here takes the form of a sense of self-importance when achieving a desired position. They are the coldest and most intelligent Twos, because in order to succeed, you need to be able to use your mind, so they like to be considered authoritative people. It is the intellectual component of their attractiveness that stems from them. They are also very effective in working with people, establish excellent connections and interact in the social sphere. Often, the social Two don't have a role model, and that's why they want to become that role model, turning from a single child into a parent for everyone. They are also often counter-dependent, meaning that instead of depending on others and acting the way the other wants, they themselves push others to play to their advantage, although there is often a person in the life of the Deuce they depend on.

Combining the passion of Pride with sexual instinct, we get a sexy two. The passion of Pride manifests itself here in extreme sensitivity to whether they are desirable or not, and sometimes in Pride from the number of sexual victories achieved. This subtype is the most intense among twos: they are obsessed with the desire to be desired, believing that love is overcoming resistance. They have a shallow personality, they are also seductive and sexually provocative, almost always intoxicated with love. They constantly fluctuate between seduction and aggression, they are generous, condescending and flattering, but they can also be extremely impulsive when their pride is hurt and the expected love does not return.

When the instinct of self—preservation distorts Vanity, E3 begins to worry about his safety and self-preservation, showing vanity in the belief that he is productive, responsible and "good" - he cheats not for the sake of prestige and status, like SO3, or for the sake of his ability to be attractive and desirable, like SX3, but "to get that which, in their opinion, will give them the security they so long for." Each subtype of E3 sells its own image, but this subtype creates the impression of a person who apparently does not care about their image; they avoid arrogance and often present themselves as reliable, responsive and hardworking people.

Vanity in the field of adaptation makes a person strive for a good public image. They do their best to maintain their prestigious image, as their main lie is their self–image. Social threesomes are seduced by images of the world and feel they have to copy what society values. Their need for status and recognition feeds them, allowing them to forget about their own insecurities. They focus on how others see them, and are willing to change their image to match the values of a particular social group in order to look in a good light. Their image cannot be tarnished, everything must remain admirable. They know how to climb the social ladder, they know when to speak out, when to remain silent, when to act, when to remain calm. These are the three whose vanity is most obvious to others, but, paradoxically, least obvious to themselves.

When vanity meets sexual instinct, it manifests itself as self—deception, as if love is the answer, that you need to become like the ideal of a loved one in order to be loved, and, ultimately, that they are this image. People of this subtype, due to their sexual instinct, find value in sexual attractiveness and desirability for others, so they emphasize their physical characteristics. They compete with others to appear the most attractive, and success is measured by demand, emphasizing those qualities that they themselves consider attractive.

E4 envy combined with the instinct of self-preservation leads to canned envy. Because of this envy, they are more difficult to notice as fours, envy directed against themselves makes them preserve their own suffering, believe that they can withstand and cope with much more, they feel the need to protect their dream of the future. Therefore, SP4S are often very resistant, because they are used to swallowing pain. They have learned to tolerate pain and not dwell on it. Because of SP's need for survival, they place high demands on themselves and strive for effort.

Social instinct combined with type 4 gives us a character characterized mainly by a sense of shame. Representatives of this subtype experience stress due to inconsistency with social ideals, compare themselves with others and feel inferior. This constant feeling of shame strangely manifests itself in attachment to suffering; often such people are shy and end up complaining and blaming themselves. They feel insufficiently strong and guilty, often assuming the role of victim and focusing on their own inferiority. However, it is important to note that people of this type often prefer to "swallow their poison" instead of attacking others, which contrasts with SX4. They are constantly looking for love in a world that they think they will never find, which leads them to constant suffering and frequent dependence on others.

Envy SX4 is the closest to the literal meaning of this word. When Envy comes into contact with this instinct, it creates a character who competes with others in an attempt to gain approval or recognition. Then they make others suffer, unconsciously trying to get rid of the painful feeling of inferiority. They are the kind of people who would rather be hated for who they are than loved for who they are not. They stand out from the other 4 because of their harsh and aggressive attitude, often described as shamelessness, and feel strongly rejected by the world as their inferiority is replaced by aggression. They often have an underlying hatred for their rivals, and their rivals are the ones they think are worth fighting for.

Self-preservation turns greed 5 into greed for survival, into a thirst for refuge from the outside world. They strive to survive by finding a safe place from where they can retire and observe the world. They are very sensitive to their personal lives and personal space. Their greed can also cause them to stock up on resources, as they never feel ready to go out into the world to survive. They are also obsessed with the idea of not wasting time and saving energy, but, ironically, they often drive their anger inside themselves, which leads to an inability to stand up for themselves and the development of hyperadaptivity to external demands, because they do not want to waste energy on conflicts.

The combination of social instinct with the passion of greed manifests itself in the desire to keep what, in a person's opinion, provides him with social status. Often such a person has a hero to look up to, a person perceived as an intellectual. SO5 craves public recognition, however, by their very nature, they extremely avoid people they consider unworthy. They are very sensitive to social hierarchy, and therefore this subtype is incredibly picky in communication, considering everyday life and people boring, because they are looking for a higher meaning and a higher understanding. Striving to become a totem of knowledge for others, this subtype is highly intellectual and focused on the accumulation of knowledge. This subtype also intellectualizes and isolates its own feelings the most, constantly separating them from thoughts and suppressing them, considering them unimportant. They are also the most arrogant and cold 5, although they are also the most opaque 5, as they strive to maintain their image of a connoisseur by hiding a part of themselves.

Since the sexual instinct seeps into the passion of Greed, it gives an extremely contradictory character, it is greed for one-on-one relationships. This character wanders through life as a withdrawn and distrustful person, refraining from social interaction for fear of being hurt. Nevertheless, they idealize the idea of trust, they need someone with whom they would feel safe. Due to the lack of love in childhood, they become a kind of hopeless romantics. Because of their distrustful nature, they hold back their affection for fear of rejection, only when a deep bond is created can they let down their defenses and truly show their true selves, and then their very bright side is released. When they finally become open, they don't expect anything except that the person they're getting close to will also reveal themselves to them, because trust is what matters most.

The fear of E6, combined with the anxiety for survival inherent in SP6, leads to the fact that SP6 experiences anxiety towards everyone and believes that the best way to avoid this anxiety is warmth. Seeing others as a threat to their existence, they try to make friends with them and unite with them so that they do not attack them. Fear here manifests itself in constant submission in order to obtain protection. They also find it difficult to perceive things in black and white because they see many shades of gray.

Social instinct, when confronted with the timid passion of the six, generates a character whose fear transforms into the need to obey the laws for the sake of acceptance. They try to overcome their social insecurity and avoid fear by adapting to beliefs, a group, a leader, or a personal moral code–these are the laws they choose to obey. Thus, such people become very executive, loyal and devoted. These sixes are also focused on performance, efficiency, and precision. While the SP6 is never confident, the SO6 can become overconfident, but a clear procedure and guidance can calm them down. They are also very afraid to change their beliefs and are not flexible in them. However, they do not follow ideologies blindly, first doubting them until they are convinced. On the other hand, SO6S often trust the system, and then become disillusioned with it and eventually develop their own set of rules that they consider fair.

Sexual instinct combined with the passion of Fear creates a character with underlying self-doubt about his sexual attractiveness and desirability, or self-doubt about his own strength. In the end, they may exaggerate their strength or beauty because they are afraid that they must learn to protect themselves or be desired. Because of this, this character is often counterphobic, that is, he goes against his fear. Although they can also be compared to a barking dog: they bark a lot, but rarely bite. Bullying is a common SX6 tactic to stay alone and suppress your fear. The question "who am I with?" of the SX instinct here is that they know when to lower their guard and when to maintain it, react and remain vigilant if someone is an enemy, or weaken if it is someone they trust.

Gluttony in SP7 is closest to the literal definition. The passion for gluttony manifests itself in the form of a thirst to taste everything that seems to promise survival, be it ideas, plans, theories or experiences, and therefore they create alliances and opportunities to gain advantages by uniting and caring for those with whom they feel close or connected. They are alert to any possibility that will ensure survival and satisfaction, hence the need to unite with those who share their interests. The love of pleasure makes them the most impulsive and physically active of all the sevens, often impulsively striving for what they want and achieving it.

Social gluttony manifests itself as a thirst for this feeling of social lightness and everything that, in their opinion, will give it to them, predetermining their social activity. Their plans often boil down to planning for a future in which they will finally get what they lack, gaining a sense of belonging, social recognition, and social status. A common misconception is that this type is truly selfless and sacrifices himself for others, which is not always true. Although the theme of sacrifice is common in SO7, this "sacrifice" is not only about giving up one's desires rather than sacrificing oneself for others, but even when it involves self-sacrifice, it does not stem from true selflessness, but rather for others to consider them outstanding and holy, fueling a narcissistic ideal self."in which they find refuge in order to avoid painful deep feelings of inferiority, unworthiness and rejection.

Gluttony, merging with sexual instinct, gives us the SX7. This character constantly lives in a world of possibilities and, due to his instinct, tends to merge with any ideas, plans or people he encounters. Their focus shifts towards the desire to live in a state of extraordinary exaltation, it is an idealization full of hope and possibilities; they are suggestible in the sense that they are easily shaken and influenced. They need distraction, the need for a constant state of euphoria, so they constantly and obsessively change their plans and decisions, are impulsive and cannot stay in the same situation for long. Gluttony is expressed in their need to imagine something better than everyday reality.

The SP8S have a desire for the life they deserve. The combination of lust with the SP instinct forces them to focus on getting what they need to survive. They are fixated on what they think will bring them satisfaction, and consume what they think they need, often to the detriment of their true needs. The pursuit of satisfaction leaves no room for understanding what they really need. Their insecurity about survival manifests itself in dominating and controlling behavior, often earning them the title of the least expressive and most armed of the three subtypes of the Eight.

When lust collides with social instinct, it manifests itself in the passionate and possessive nature of bonding with others, seeking to please those they consider weaker. However, this is not necessarily a pleasant character: SO8S often feel like defenders of the weak. They also idealize the idea of trust and friendship, and once this bond is broken, they may never forgive and turn to aggression. They are often compared to a person who opposes a higher power in order to protect those who are lower. Some SO8S may also get caught up in this idea of revenge, forgetting that those they protect are actually human, and because of this, they may use the "lower ones" as an excuse for their outbursts of anger. They are also hypocritical in the sense that, by declaring their willingness to confront the conflict, they themselves only inflame it. In short, this subtype considers itself a defender or friend, using this as an excuse for its actions.

In this subtype, lust is combined with sexual instinct, which gives a character who believes he has a right to his partner. You can often see that in this type they are openly domineering, rebellious and seeking attention, but this is an attempt to hide their insecurity that they are loved and want them to be loved. These people view a relationship as a conquest and want to hold power in that relationship. There is a polarity in the sexual eight: on the one hand, we have a sexual eight who feels the need to feel strong, dominating the entire environment and wanting to hold power in a relationship as they try to gain power over things and people, on the other hand, we have a sexual eight who surrenders to a partner they consider decent, trying to create a passionate appearance of surrender, but at the same time really wants to maintain control.

Satisfying one's own hunger is the driving force behind the E9 subtype of self–preservation. Laziness manifests itself ironically here: it is the substitution of really necessary pleasures for non-essential ones. You can often see E9s immersed in activities that only put them to sleep, such as eating, sleeping, playing games, playing sports, reading, etc. Due to laziness, they lose spirituality and connection with their inner selves, which can lead to irrational actions without clearly defined goals other than the pursuit of physical stimulation. In short, this type is characterized by duality: self-forgetfulness in activity and the desire to ensure basic survival.

Social laziness can simply be described as the need to be in a group. Laziness here manifests itself as constant merging with a group, imitating socially acceptable forms of behavior and communication in the hope of gaining recognition, establishing superficial contact with others. They lack a sense of ease in social situations due to their sensitivity to whether they are truly desirable or not. They often substitute connections by acting as if the group's values and desires, or the values of someone else, are their own, often accepting these social norms without questioning them. This can manifest itself in the form of compulsive actions for others. By postponing their own needs and doing what is expected of them, they increase their psychological inertia, which makes it difficult for them to connect with themselves and understand who they really are. At the same time, SO9 tend to be modest and prudent and will do anything as long as harmony reigns in the group.

Laziness 9, combined with sexual instinct, gives us a sexual character 9, a character that needs another person's love for self-determination. In this case, sexual laziness loses its instinctive character and turns into the ability to feel the needs of another. They can experience their own pleasure if it serves the pleasure of a loved one, with a sense of self-denial when they have no place for themselves. These people tend to easily blend in with others, while losing touch with themselves. Complete fusion with another is considered by sexual niners as a necessary condition for integrity. The other becomes a reference point, a compass for determining needs and thoughts.
