This language of love celebrates the importance of affectionate and kind words in a relationship. In this case, a person expects praise, compliments, and confessions from a partner; it is important for them that a loved one is able to notice and mention their achievements, find the right words and show empathy at times when their soul is not good. For them, love is a dialogue and an island of safety, where they will always receive support. /// If someone who speaks the language of "words" is left for a long time without declarations of love, he may perceive this as coldness on the part of a partner. They will be offended by aggressive criticism from a partner. However, the worst thing for them is being ignored by their partner.

For those who most express this language, the tactile component of the relationship is extremely important — for them, love is impossible without bodily interaction. Such people want to hold hands, hug, massage and stroke each other, it is important for them to be able to touch a loved one, maybe even bite. A special case of this language of love is considered to be the elevation of the role of intimate relationships, without which some cannot imagine true love. If a person is addicted to touches, as in this case, their absence brings tangible discomfort. /// Those who speak the "language of touch" find separation and long-distance relationships difficult. The real blow for them will be if the partner "rejects" their tactile impulse.

It is very important for a person with such a language of love to spend time together. To be more precise, such a person needs a partner not only to be nearby, but also to be involved in what is happening. For example, he could support the reasoning, independently pay attention to any details of the process. It is important for connoisseurs of "time" to share their interests, and also to accept and participate in the hobbies of a partner — this is considered a true manifestation of love. /// The worst thing for people who have this language of love prevailing is when a loved one chooses to spend their leisure time separately, in another company, or when a partner is present "for show".

It is important for such people to know that their partner remembers them, their tastes and interests, and makes efforts that bring them joy. As cliché as it may sound, but in this case it is often important to “attention”, the emotional value of the gift - those who are dominated by this language of love, almost equally impressed as a touching photo from the place of the first date, and expensive long-standing want from the cherry list. In gifts, they see the small joys that make up love. /// Although gift lovers care more about the idea of a gift, they are upset if their partner intentionally saves money on them. Trying to “buy them off” without a heart will also upset and offend those who are close to this language of love.

Such people value more than gifts and words active help in any affairs, be it household, work, hobbies. For them, love means washing dishes, offering a ride on a cold day, and solving problems. Sometimes this language is called “the language of service”, which implies readiness to help a partner at any moment, regardless of the situation. /// Such a person feels abandoned if he or she is left alone with his or her problems and worries while in a relationship. More often than not, he/she is ready to do anything for the sake of the partner and, if he/she does not feel reciprocated, may seriously doubt his/her feelings. If the “action” speaker asks the partner to do something and it doesn't happen, it will be taken especially seriously.
