Squads v2

01.02.2026
Hello, dear friends!

Today, I’m excited to introduce several important updates that I hope will make the Squad mechanics more enjoyable and popular.

Especially for you, I’ve written an extended guide explaining how everything works now. You can find it at this link. It will be useful both for those who have never interacted with the Squads feature before and for seasoned veterans.

For those who have been actively following the process, I’ve also prepared a list of changes right here in this announcement. Let’s get started!

Key changes

Squads now have 4 member slots (instead of 3). At the same time, the number of content slots per competition stage remains the same: 6 in total — 3 for tests and 3 for posts. This change allows you to keep an additional member in reserve to prepare higher-quality and more promising content, and it also makes participation more flexible by allowing one member to take a short “break” without reducing the squad’s overall effectiveness.

Squad competitions are now divided into 3 equal stages (instead of 4), providing more flexibility when releasing content. Since a test remains visible in the “Interesting” tab for one week and each stage now lasts about 10 days, you get a three-day buffer for publishing your content. In addition, this change simplifies the competition by reducing the maximum number of submissions from 24 to 18, allowing you to focus more on quality rather than quantity.

Quality Mark and Editor’s Choice now grant additional bonuses to squad content. Previously, these awards provided a 30% promotion bonus. Now, the base effectiveness has been reduced to 25%, but when content is published as part of a Squad War, the bonus increases to 40%. This should encourage you to participate in Squad Competitions even if you’re not aiming to win — at least for the sake of this bonus. Go for it — your content might take off and give you a real shot at victory!

Each stage now provides a random bonus to squad points. For example, in one stage, diagrams might grant double squad points, while in the next stage, the bonus could apply to quizzes. These bonuses are visible in advance — one stage ahead — and are displayed on the Squads page. I hope this will add more depth to the competition, allowing you to plan the release of different content formats strategically.

Convenient squad and member search is a new feature that is described in more detail in this article. Here, I’ll just note that this improvement should significantly simplify cooperation when recruiting members or searching for a squad.

Competition archive — a new page where you can explore the full history of Squad Wars. So that great achievements are never forgotten 🙂

That’s all from me for now. I hope these updates inspire you to reach new creative heights. Thank you for your attention!
