Who are the editors?

Who are the editors?
Hello, dear community members!

In this article, you will learn about who editors are, what their role is and how to become one of them.
Editors are especially active users who want to help the site administration and ensure that the rules of the community are properly observed. You can distinguish an editor by a special icon in his profile.
Any user can become an editor as soon as he gets 1000 rating points. After that, a corresponding button appears in his profile with an offer to join this honorary position.
The main function of editors is to fight against low-quality content and send requests for violations of the rules to the moderators for consideration. To do this, they have user-friendly interfaces called by buttons on the page of each test.
To assess the effectiveness of editors, there is a separate set of statistics based on the number of applications submitted. Each application reviewed by the moderator in favor of the editor earns the author of the application 1 point of a special rating. If the application was fundamentally incorrect, the editor will lose 1 point, and if it is correct, but the reason for the actions is incorrectly indicated in it, nothing will happen.
If the editor's rating drops to -10, it means that he does not understand the rules of the community well and can no longer perform this function. In this case, this position is automatically removed from him. Also, the position will be lost in case of prolonged absence of applications from the editor: for editors with less than 50 ratings - 30 days, from 50 to 199 ratings - 90 days, from 200 to 999 ratings - 180 days. Editors with 1000 or more ratings receive eternal status.
As soon as a moderator vacancy appears on the site, the best of the editors can apply for this role. The editor becomes a moderator after an interview with the site administrator, but the order of interviews is drawn up in accordance with the top editors.
